Existing as a human being is tough work. We’re wired to experience all these wild feelings and needs for connection; yet sometimes those two things seem so antithetical. It can be overwhelming trying to navigate it all in a way that feels guided by intentionality rather than reactivity.

As someone who has been curious about making sense of the human experience for over three decades, I get it. I honor the intense vulnerability that comes with living in a human body, with all of its inherent risks and delights. I deeply respect that we all have a need for connection, belonging, and feeling that we matter - not only to others, but to ourselves as well. I believe that we all have inherent wisdom gained through our unique experiences. I work to help my clients learn to recognize their own strengths, wisdom, and power. I’m also equipped to offer new strategies and skills to help you further your growth.

Figuring out how to overcome that stuck feeling is so much harder to do alone. I value creating meaningful connections that allow us to work together to help you find your way toward:
  • feeling more alive,
  • living more fully in your body,
  • deepening your capacity to connect with others,
  • showing up more authentically in your relationships, and
  • reducing the ways that shame or fear hold you back from doing the things that matter to you.

I commonly work with concerns with sexual functioning, problems with desire, issues related to sexual abuse or assault, out-of-control sexual behaviors, sexual identity, gender identity, relational identity (i.e. monogamous, ethically non-monogamous), kink/BDSM, and relationship difficulties. I also work with general mental health issues for people who need a therapist who understands that sometimes the heart of the problem is not about your non-monogamy, BDSM lifestyle, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

I bring a social justice lens to my practice that recognizes how systemic racism, sexism, heterosexism, cissexism, ableism, classism, sizeism, and other forms of oppression can influence an individual's mental health.
